The A Tempá String Quartet was first formed in 1998. Its’ current members are Lisabeth McQuaid and Becky Blaho as violinists, Lisa Chodorowski, violist and Thea Keshavarzi, cellist. All of its’ members belong to the American Federation of Musicians and as professionals are active performers throughout the Chicago land area. They can be found performing with numerous professional ensembles including the Elgin Symphony, Lake Forest Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Kenosha Symphony, Northbrook Symphony, Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Quad-City Symphony, and the Chicago Symphonic Pops Orchestra. In addition, they can be seen in various other venues, such as churches, musicals, ballets, weddings, and receptions as free-lance musicians.

All four musicians have degrees in music. In addition to performing, three of the A Tempá String Quartet members have made music education a second career.
